What God is teaching me today - Prepare for the Rapture

I have been seeking God's Will for my life and feel the drawing of the Holy Spirit to bring me closer to my Savior and to explore modern things that are happening and how they relate to me as a Christian in these last days.

Pastor Mark recently said in one of his messages that we needed to start to prepare for the Rapture. He has given us many messages about getting our hearts right and about doing the will of the Lord. He has given us prophesies (which I will talk about later) but I had never heard him say "Prepare now for the Rapture". This got my attention and I thought about this allot. Pastor Mark never says anything off the cuff. He is a Shepherd that can be trusted and one that you feel that you can follow and be lead to the Kingdom. I knew when I heard him say this that he wasn't just talking but there was something stirring within him and I knew I needed to listen closely.

I began praying more and reading more and today I am on a quest seeking all that God has for me here in the near future. I am finding I have friends that have needed encouragment in certain times of their lives where a Word from a friend was just what they needed. I have family that I need to lift up in prayer more and pray for the guidence of the Lord in their lives. We have a new little one that must be cover in prayer and another on the way. Their entire lives will depend on the training, love and Godly direction that will come from their family. I have found that I am very greatful for my job. I stop complaining to God and asking for my retirement but instead become grateful I have a job. I have found I want to be nicer to my co-workers and be able to witness to them in a moment that is given to me.

I have found that the one thing that God wants from me is obedience. This I have not done in all areas. I will work at listening to the Holy Spirit more and applying what is told to me in the way of being obedient as to what my Father is telling me.

I praise Jesus for all the wonderful things in my life and for some of the not so wonderful things in my life. I have found I have had to hurt some people, love others more but mostly to listen to my Lord as I continue to prepare for the Rapture.

Join with me today on this journey and see what God has in store for you. I may or may not write more in the future, writing is not one of my greatest talents but for today I wanted to share how God is working in my life today and I hope that you too will consider our time is short and there is much to do.
