Why Know The Father's Heart

We have a crisis of fathering in this country. Millions of unfathered people will go to the polls to vote for unfathered men and women to lead our country. They will follow the one who promises "bread" without responsibility, as the crowds that followed Jesus for the bread in the early days.

A hundred years ago Teddy Roosevelt said, "What we need in our public officials is not genius, not even brilliancy, so much as the exercise of the ordinary, rather commonplace qualities of honesty, courage, and common sense -- the qualities that make a man a good husband, a good father, a good neighbor." Our crisis in good fathering is ultimately more serious than any economic or political crisis. Very few people have been fathered in spirit and soul. We need to receive from Father God his reparenting us as true sons and daughters. The good news is that God wants to be our Father. Jesus came to show us His Father and ours.

Receiving the Father nature of God is essential if we are to love Him and be assured of His love, trust Him, be secure in Him, pray to Him, yield to Him, live holy before Him, receive His guidance, serve Him, be like Him, and much more. Spend time with your Father in His word, His love letter to you. Receive His Father love for you.
1. He is our Father by right of the blood of Jesus (John 1:12).

2. Our basis of eternal security is being in the Father's hand (John 10:28-29).

3. We pray to the Father in Jesus' name (Mat. 6:9).

4. God's Father love for us is our highest motivation to holiness (1 John 3:1-3)
.
5. His Fatherhood is the basis of understanding His guiding hand (John 5:20, 10:3-4, 27).

6. Every family derives its name from the Father, so God the Father is the model for headship in our families (Eph. 3:14-15, Psa. 68:5-6).

7. Our Father wants us to yield to His gentle parental authority (Hos. 11:1, 3-4, Eph. 6:4).

8. The basis of trusting Him is seeing Him as our totally able and faithful Father (Mat. 18:19-20, Heb. 13:5, 2 Tim. 2:13).

9. When we know Him as Father, we will trust His parental generosity (Mat. 6:32-33, Jam. 1:17, Psa. 37:3-5).

10. Knowing Him as Father is the basis of receiving His parental affection (John 17:23, Hos.

11:4, Jer. 31:3, Deu. 33:12).11. His Father-heart is the basis for His parental attentiveness (Mat. 6:25-26, 31; 1 Pet. 5:7).

12. When we rightly knowing Him as Father, we are secure in his acceptance and rest securely in Him (Gal. 4:5-7, Rom. 8:15-16, 32-33; Zeph. 3:17).

13. His relationship to us as Father is the legal basis of receiving all our inheritance in Christ (Eph. 1:13-14, Col. 1:12, 1 Pet. 1:3-4).

14. The Father is seeking worshipers. When we understand His Father heart, we will worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24).

Knowing Him as loving Father is the foundation for intimate relationship with Him. First Corinthians 13:4-7 is a picture of the Father's love. Personalize it, and receive it for yourself. My Father who loves me is patient with me, kind to me.... My Father's love is not rude, nor self-seeking, not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs. My Father's love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. My Father's love always protects me, always trusts me, always hopes [believes the best about me], always perseveres and never gives up on me. My Father's love for me never fails.

Women In America Must Take A Stand In This Election!

I am not Catholic but this video is exactly what I believe, as my friend Patty Maier says "it is time for the Esther's of our generation to take a stand and pray and vote and protect the future for our children and grandchildren, our neices and nephews. Pray much that God will forgive us and let us have one more chance at getting this right. America has got to turn around and go back to her roots. Pray! Pray! Pray!

Blessed Is The Nation Whose God Is The Lord
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.

Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord.Psalm 33:12, 144:15.

When we sing "God Bless America," we are singing a blessing on this country. Can we ask God to bless this nation in its present state of heart and soul? Can we ask God to bless us while we murder unborn babies, make merchandise of alcohol, drugs, and pornography, idolize over-paid sports heroes, and totter dangerously close to the edge of violence and anarchy?

We can pray for us to be a nation that is blessable by God. Pray that God will do what only He can do: change the hearts of kings (decision-makers in all areas of our economy and government) to follow after Him and His word. Let's pray this especially for the four who are running for the office of president and vice-president, because two of the four will surely be our leaders for at least four years, regardless of whether you vote red or blue. Let's pray this for all those in authority: Cabinet members, Senators and Congressmen, Wall Street, bank Presidents, oil company presidents, local officials, and candidates for office. We need a revolution of blessedness in those in authority.

Pray these "blessed" descriptions of godly leaders.

Lord, give us men and women who...Do not walk in counsel of ungodly. Psalm 1:1-2
Delight in the law of God and meditate on it. Psalm 112:1
Take refuge in the Lord. Psalm 34:8
Know that their transgressions are forgiven, sins are covered and not counted against them, and in whom there is no deceit. Psalm 32:1-2
Are generous and lend freely. Psalm 37:26
Trust in the Lord. Do not look to the proud, nor turn aside to false gods. Psalm 40:4
Have regard for the weak. Psalm 41:1
Come near to Him for praise and worship. Psalm 65:4
Walk in the presence of God. Psalm 84:4
Know that God is the source of their strength. Psalm 84:5,7
Who are going on with God. Psalm 84:5
Acclaim God, publicly praise Him. Psalm 89:15, 84:14
Receive the discipline of the Lord and learn from it. Psalm 94:12
Maintain justice and do what is right. Psalm 106:3
Recognize that their provision comes from God. Psalm 107:38
Fear the Lord. Psalm 112:1
Are the generation of the upright. Psalm 112:2.
Come in the name of the Lord. Psalm 118:26
Whose ways are blameless. Psalm 119:1
Walk in God's way. Psalm 119:1, Psalm 128:1
Keep His laws. Psalm 119:2
Seek Him with all their heart. Psalm 119:2
Treat children as blessed. Psalm 127:3,5
Whose help and hope is the God of Jacob. Psalm 146:5.

"A time to be born and a time to die"

Shirley Ruth Thomas
1915 - 2008

Howard Donald Bell

1935 - 2008

1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die

This weekend I got a call from my brother that our cousin Don had passed away and yesterday my nephew sent me email telling me that his grandmother had passed away. One month ago our little Brody came from heaven to be with us. As I thought about Brody and the joy he has brought and how his Dad wanted so badly for him to meet his grandmother before she went to heaven I thought of what a blessing Brody is to us and that as he enter our world my cousin Don and Aaron's grandmother was entering into another world also. We honestly don't understand all of this except by faith we believe as the above scripture says "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, and we can have the faith that we will see them again as they both knew Jesus and as Brody grows up and becomes an adult, he will be taught about Jesus and someday we will all be together in one world, one that we will never have to worry about leaving again.

Let us take this time to rejoice over Don and Aaron grandmother for the lives they both touch while on this earth and let us rejoice for Brody and the lives he will also touch while he is in this world. Let us be grateful to our Lord Jesus for His Salvation so that all of this can be possible.
